The 23 acre property features stunning river frontage designed as an idyllic spot to be the focal point of your event. The rivers edge is complimented by 100+ year old cottonwoods and 4 acres of lavender fields. The property also features an apiary in addition to other wildlife.

We couldn’t have dreamed of a more beautiful place to celebrate our wedding than Hunter’s Place in Yerington, Nevada. Located along the Walker River, the property is filled with so much natural beauty, from the peaceful river to the gorgeous cottonwood trees throughout the property. We were incredibly honored to be the very first wedding hosted at Hunter’s Place, and it was truly a magical experience.
The venue has a beautiful, quaint getting-ready suite complete with a full bathroom and kitchen, which was the perfect space for my small bridal party and me to get ready on the morning of the wedding.
Most importantly, the owners, Ally and Ron, are truly wonderful people. They worked so hard to make our day everything we dreamed it would be. They listened to our vision, understood what we were hoping for, and completely ran with it. Their care and attention to detail made such a difference, and we are so grateful for everything they did to make our wedding day so special.
We chose to have our ceremony and reception toward the back of the property, with the Walker River as our backdrop. We brought in our own food, bar, and entertainment vendors.
Hunter’s Place is the perfect venue for anyone dreaming of a rustic, country, outdoor wedding surrounded by nature. If you’re considering this venue, I highly recommend working with Ally and Ron — they will go above and beyond to help bring your vision to life.
And one more thing: make sure you try the delicious honey they harvest right there on the property!

We had the good fortune to hold Faith Lutheran Church's 2026 Women's Retreat at Hunter's Place. This venue could not have been more perfect to host our event. We were surrounded by the sounds of the Walker River, the rushing wind, as well as the sights of the beautiful trees, lavender bushes, and surrounding mountains. Ally and Ron have created something very special in this space. They were both so easy to work with, and really helped to make our event extra-special. I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for an amazing outdoor venue to host a special event to seriously consider making Hunter's place your choice...you won't be disappointed!
